Dr. Kellsie Mullikin - Veterinarian

Kellsie Mullikin

Dr. Kellsie Mullikin knew from the age of eight that she wanted to become a veterinarian. Growing up, she was actively involved in 4-H horse shows. Her lifelong love of horses continued into college, where she rode on the intercollegiate dressage team.

Dr. Mullikin attended Virginia Tech, earning undergraduate degrees in Agribusiness and Animal and Poultry Sciences. She remained in Blacksburg to earn her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from the Virginia-Maryland College of Veterinary Medicine. Following graduation, she completed a rotating equine internship at Blue Ridge Equine Clinic in Earlysville, Virginia, followed by an immersive small animal emergency internship at Virginia Veterinary Centers in Richmond.

Diagnostic imaging, particularly ultrasonography, has been a longstanding professional interest for Dr. Mullikin. Before joining MiVU, she spent several years practicing in both urgent care and general practice, where her interest in ultrasound continued to grow. She subsequently pursued intensive ultrasound training with Drs. Shang, Woody, and Laderberg, along with additional advanced coursework through SVS Imaging and We Are Veterinary Education (WAVE).

Dr. Mullikin lives in Warrenton with her family, her two dogs, Ruby and Nala, and her horse, X-Man. Outside of veterinary medicine, she enjoys gardening, horseback riding, and spending time with her family and animals.
